For You Telecare Family Service (FUTFS) assists individuals and families from all walks of life to overcome cultural, emotional, and psychological barriers through a wide range of counselling and educational services and programs. In collaboration with other social service organizations, FUTFS raises awareness of social issues and supports clients in the community through the progression of a healthy lifestyle and gradual integration into Canadian society.

Counselling Education & Volunteering Training Program

Everyone can participate in this program, the 37th Counselling Education and
Volunteering Training Program. We acquire the appropriate counseling concept and the ideas of volunteerism as being aware in our daily life through various lecturers and topics, discussing and sharing with small groups, and applying our knowledge not only to FUTFS, but also to the practices of daily life, to Canadian society, and to those who really need help. This provides opportunities to gain skills and experiences on how to communicate well, have good relationships and how to practice volunteering work.

English Cafe

FUTFS provides informative English education classes every week to help Koreans living in Canada do volunteer work in Canadian society. English Café focuses on improving participants' English skills through continuous English lessons and conversations. All participants interested in these classes and activities are welcome. It will be held every Tuesday from 10:30am to 12pm.

Christmas Party

We plan to prepare a warm Christmas party where we can gather together in 2021, which was both difficult and exhausting, to share our lives and feel the preciousness of meeting. Make fun memories that bring laughter through delicious food and activities.

Mental Health Workshop

Mental Health Workshop for Youth is a workshop that helps young people overcome crises due to covid or academic stress or difficulties.

Domestic Violence Workshop

It is a workshop to learn about domestic violence, to recognize violence and abuse, and to get out of crisis.

One of my favorite articles is “Eternal Relationship” by the Buddhist monk Bubsang. I received a lot of comfort from reading this article when I was greatly hurt and had experienced difficult times because of encounters and relationships with people, and it helped me heal. There is no need to dwell on these hurtful events, even if relationships are disrupted, whether due to external or internal factors. There is no need to make things perfect. Old relationships can look so firm and steady but I could say that it is not always so.... Opportunities will come to you. When they do, you are supposed to meet people without effort, and naturally the things which you need to do will come to you. All encounters are a process of spiritual maturation. If my inner being matures, then my encounters will mature, but if my inner being is immature, my encounters will inevitably be immature. So when I cultivate myself to be mature, it makes me a more valuable and admirable person. I think that my relationship with For You Telecare Family Service has come at a perfect time for me. I cherish this beautiful and deepening relationship.
